Chermside Pool a Cool Spot
NOW that the sprinkler on the back lawn is off the agenda in Queensland’s more water-conscious areas you may have to take the children somewhere else to beat the muggy summer heat.
Local council swimming pools are always a good bet, but in recent years the emergence of large, often free public cooling-off facilities has attracted many people. They are designed to be great fun, they are patrolled and often offer features far superior to anything at home
On your Christmas holidays, check out Chermside Pool. It is a large centre for swimming lessons and hydrotherapy and the 25m pool is open all year. The water fun park has a separate entry and an impressive water slide.
