Located beneath the Chermside Apartments in Thomas St, Bella Cosi has a menu offering modern Italian cuisine.

Marketing manager Anne Marie Chelin said Bella Cosi offered premium quality meals at reasonable prices, with mains between $24 and $31.

Ms Chelin said she believed the restaurant’s quality-for-price would see it establish itself in a location other restaurants had tried and failed.

But Ms Chelin said she believed it would be a different story for Bella Cosi, with executive chef James Maclean bringing a substantial 13 years’ experience to the role.

“Of that, James has spent eight years working with Italian food,” she said.

Bella Cosi has been open since November and Ms Chelin said proving popular were the scaloppini al fungi (main $28.50) and the vanilla panna cotta (dessert $9.50).

“The other item that is very popular is our breakfast,” she said.
